This season, there are three main sources of inspiration for our spring / summer 2010 collection. Our wonderful selection of striped and checked shirts, stylish knitwear, wonderfully soft sweatshirts and rugbys, classic jackets and striking swimwear, is inspired by a certain mood or feel and in turn, by a carefully selected palette of colours.

This season, hidden country gardens and unspoilt rural retreats play as a background for our relaxed, yet timeless preppy range. Traditional heritage sports noticeably influence our graphics, colours and unmistakable Crew refined trims and detailing.

Leading the spring season, the palette of colours is inspired by the lushness of the rolling hills and meadows; cornflower and petal nuances are gently mixed with green tones on checks and delicate floral prints. Our beautiful Myrtle Dress is inspired by spring florals and we have a selection of gorgeous checked shirts such as the Fosbeary Shirt for Women and the Vintage Check Shirt for Men, in an array of wonderful spring colours, some with a subtle hint of green.

Our heritage jackets, such as the Waxed Sandford Jacket and coated twills, such as the Linley Jacket or Sutton Mac, are perfect ingredients for everyday outfits where classic shirts, fresh cotton top and tees and preppy stripes play a key.

A feeling of escape to a coastal destination is the evolving concept of our spring collection, which brings us from the early spring breaks to the summer holidays. The range is shaped around a nautical feel and sociable time, led by the sailing inspired lifestyle.

Classic navy and white combinations create the traditional Crew nautical look across this range. Our handsome men’s Harrison Rugby, Parkford Rugby and Ellingham Knit, perfectly reflect this style. And for women, the nautical look is key, with the Ginger Lily Tee, Sunburst Knit and Bluebell Knit, all beautiful styles for a nautical feel.

Ocean blues, such as the striking GBR Spray Jacket from our sailing inspired GBR Atlantic range and flashes of fruity yellow and orange break through the bold colour block stripes, such as our striking Elba Rugby.

Crew signature quality details, including tipped trims and tapes, enrich the styles throughout the range. Similarly, a selection of gorgeous accessories such as beautifully soft checked or striped scarves, add a touch of style to the look.

This mood takes us to the warmer season with a feel of holidays and careless free time, where life is a playful discovery of colours. The summer palette mixes the contrast of rich green of a tropical landscape, against a crystal clear blue sea.

The classic preppy combinations are splashed with bold coral reds and zesty tones, such as our lovely coral Farrah Tee or our Crew Classic Polo in a wonderful zingy avocado colour.

Swimwear brings a bright variety of polka-dots and florals, as well as bold stripes for fun outfits.
