1993
When he wasn’t skiing for Great Britain, Alastair Parker-Swift ran a windsurfing school in Salcombe. It was here that Crew Clothing was born.
The first collection consisted of a rugby shirt embroidered with our iconic ’93 patch. This classic style has always remained a firm favourite.
1995
Our flagship store opened on the New Kings Road in Chelsea. These days we’ve swapped the capital for the South-West, and you’ll find our flagship in Exeter.
2000
A new millennium arrived and Crew Clothing went digital. We launched crewclothing.co.uk and navy and white striped parcels have been arriving on well-dressed doorsteps ever since.
2001
We kicked off a lifetime of partnership with the very best of British sport with our very own Polo team.
We might have swapped those mallets for tennis rackets, cricket bats and golf clubs, but we’ve never lost our team spirit.
2007
Our hometown store of Salcombe relocated to its current location. This year, we’ve given the store a birthday makeover – why not stop by and check out its brand-new design?
2013
Crew turned 20, and we celebrated two decades with a race down the Thames.
2014
Entering our twenties called for a brand-new look. We freshened ourselves up and launched the branding you’ll see online, in store and stitched into our clothing today.
2019
We relaunched Crew Clothing Kids, introducing little wardrobes everywhere to our signature coastal styles.
We were born on the water, and taking care of the coast is a cause that’s close to our hearts. We partnered with Plastic Patrol, joining their mission to help clean up Britain’s waterways.
Our world-class sporting partnerships officially began with the Lawn Tennis Association – the Home of Tennis in Britain, and we’ve been serving up kit for the ball crew and officials ever since.
2020
We continued to grow our sponsorship partnerships, adding Williams Racing and the Legends Tour to the Crew team.
2021
With our sailing heritage and love of great British sport, sponsoring Henley Royal Regatta, one of the most prestigious rowing events in the world, felt like a natural partnership.
We opened our 100th store. Stretching from St Ives to St Andrews, these days you’ll find Crew Clothing up and down the country. We’ve grown beyond the shores of Salcombe, but we’ve never forgotten where we came from.
2022
We teamed up with Thrift+, a sustainable second-hand clothing resale platform. Thrift+ allows you to sell your very best clothes online for free – with zero hassle or cost to you.
We took style tips from the pros and created our first golf collection. Designed for performance and packed with technical detailing, it’s perfect for on or off the fairway.
2023
We celebrate our 30th birthday. With an exciting year ahead, we’re celebrating three decades in style. Thank you for all your support – we couldn’t have done it without you. Here’s to another 30 years…
