Warwick Castle is over 1100 years old. It started life as a fort built by Alfred the Great's daughter Ethelfleda. The castle we see today was built by William the Conquerer in 1068 as he advanced northwards through England. It's still a must see for history buffs but also a day out designed with families in mind, with the Horrible History's Maze adding to the attraction.

To really relax, take a stroll around the Jephson Gardens in the heart of Leamington. Find Victorian sculptured gardens and the glasshouse where you'll see bananas, pink powder puff and birds of paradise. Or hire a boat to paddle along the River Leam to get a different perspective on the city.
