Every want to get away from it all? Look no further that No Man’s Fort, built in the 19th century as a sea based defence. Reachable only by ferry, it is now one of Britain’s most alternative hotels. These days it’s equipped with an eclectic mix of five bars, rooftop hot tubs, fire pits and even a cabaret club. The floor to ceiling windows give a view of Portsmouth Harbour in one direction and The Isle of Wright in the other. Go on, push the boat out.
