STARGAZING AND MOONWATCH AT ATTINGHAM PARK
3rd February 2018
It gets dark early these days, so we may as well make use of it. Escape the city to peer into the inky blackness of the Shropshire skies. Both beginners
and experienced stargazers are welcome, with experts from the local astronomical society on hand to help make sense of the cosmic canopy.
Equipment is provided but pack your torch, as you’ll be navigating your way through the expansive gardens of The National Trust's Attingham Park.
One for all the family.
6 NATIONS AT TWICKENHAM
4th February - 17th March 2018
Whether you’re in the thick of it or watching from the comfort of your sofa, rugby is a sport that we can all get behind. Twickenham plays host to two games
over the course of the championship and it’s a great excuse to get together and be close to the action. If you don’t have the coveted tickets, the pub is
of course a warmer option and almost as atmospheric.
GREAT BRITISH BEER FESTIVAL
20th - 24th February 2018
With a focus on winter brews, the medieval friary halls of Norwich will be holding a magnificent celebration of all things ale. The highly sought after ‘Champion
Winter Beer’ title will be announced, with plenty of opportunity to sample the goods! Pubs across the city will be participating, hosting fringe events such as live
music and stand-up comedy throughout the month. One to watch for beer lovers everywhere.
POTATO, PANEER AND CHICKPEA CURRY
Cold days call for warming food. The pressure in January to ‘eat green’ has eased somewhat, and we feel safe to turn to robust and hearty meals once again.
Great British Bake Off star, Chetna Makan’s book ‘Chai Chaat and Chutney’ is packed with Indian recipes to help beat the chill. Serve with rice or chapattis.
