How to host this coronation weekend

SET THE SCENE
Whether you’re hosting indoors or out, no royal jubilation is complete without bunting, Union Jacks by the dozen and the little touches that make your table extra impressive – plus, show off your very British treats perfectly. And if anyone knows how to impress her guests, it’s Simply Caroline. She’s dialled up the details with patriotic napkins, her finest tableware and beautifully illustrated pieces designed by artist, Eleanor Tomlinson – we’re obsessed with the corgi themed tablecloth! If you want to give your table even more grandeur, little floral posies in complementing colours are just the thing.

A RIGHT ROYAL FEAST
Nothing is more quintessentially British than scones, a classic Victoria sponge and the coronation’s signature dish, the humble quiche – yum! Decorated cupcakes also look great presented in domed glassware, plus decorating these sweet treats is a great weekend activity for the kids to get creative and get into the spirit of the jubilations.
Having said that, there’s no doubt that we’ll also be preparing ourselves (multiple) pots of tea throughout the weekend, poured out in nothing other than Eleanor Tomlinson’s lovely, themed pottery. But don’t worry, come evening, we’ll sure be swapping out the tea for the fizz and carrying on the festivities into the night.

DRESS TO IMPRESS
For the hostess with the mostess, we’ve got just the thing to get you dressed fit for royalty and see you through the celebrations in style. We’re taking a leaf out of Simply Caroline’s book and dressing in our finery. Our Henley Wave dress is just the thing for garden get-togethers, indoor brunching and street parties alike. The fluttery sleeves and floaty skirt make it perfect for dancing into the night. It’s guaranteed to be compliment inducing and make you feel like a million pounds.
