GREAT YORKSHIRE SHOW
10th July – 12th July 2018
Celebrating 160 years, this one’s not to be missed. The show is a glorious combination of rural pursuits, delicious food and an enormous array of livestock. Why ride one horse when you can ride six? Equestrian dynamo Lorenzo will be aweing the main ring every day. And certainly don’t miss the famed ‘one man and his pig’ competition. Arguably the best obstacle course of all time.
Watching other people exert themselves can be very thirsty work – they don’t call them ‘spectator sports’ for nothing. This month we’re enjoying a refreshing Grecian tipple from brand new book Mazi. A fantastic creation from Christina Mouratoglou and Adrien Carré that’s super easy to make. They call this a ‘Chios Mandarin Martini’ but we think that ‘summer in a glass’ will suffice. Their watermelon ‘Cosmopolis’ is also superb.
