Summer of sport: our winning moments
What a summer it’s been… from cheering on a star line-up of British hopefuls at The Queen’s Club to getting all dressed up in the official Henley Royal Regatta collaboration and jetting off to Amsterdam for the Dutch Grand Prix. It’s been one to remember – and nothing puts a smile on our faces quite like seeing you in our crossed oars right by the sidelines. We couldn’t pick just one highlight so we’ve pulled together a whole round-up of winning moments. See you there next year.
CREW ON COURT
We were back for another year as Official Outfitter for the Lawn Tennis Association, serving up embroidered polos aplenty from our personalisation station. From the cinch Championships at The Queen’s Club to the three Rothesay tournaments in Birmingham, Eastbourne and Nottingham, our team of embroidery experts were courtside for every single match. For those lucky enough to get prime seats, you’ll have spotted the ball crew and on-court officials in yours truly. We’ve got one word for it: LOVE.
THOSE DRESSES…
Made especially for Henley Royal Regatta but seen everywhere this summer, from the banks of The Thames to tennis tournaments and great British parties in celebration of the Queen’s Jubilee. Channelling the spirit of the Regatta – one of the best dressed sporting events of the year – our design team have created something truly special. Seeing how you wear it is a highlight all year round. As always, thank you for sharing… it really does make our day seeing your snaps.
PLAYING WITH THE PROS
As a partner to the Professional Cricketers Association, we get exclusive access to legends of the game – and there’s nothing we love more than being able to take you along with us! We were recently invited to Lord’s Cricket Ground to brush up on our batting skills with the likes of Rikki Clarke, Alex Tudor and Adam Hollioake. From the two-hour coaching session to the post-net Q&A, by the end of this once in a lifetime opportunity we had decent innings. Thanks for the tips.
A ‘DAM GOOD TIME
At the beginning of September, we were invited to spend the weekend with our partner, Williams Racing at the Dutch Grand Prix in Amsterdam. Not only where we right there at the podium as champagne showered down everywhere, we got behind-the-scenes access to the paddock and Williams Racing garages – all wearing Crew, naturally. IN IT TO WIN IT
Recently, we welcomed up-and-coming professional golfer, Todd Clements to the Crew family as an ambassador. Charismatic and talented with a capital tee, he’s a natural fit for the brand. Having already collected numerous accolades across both the amateur and professional game, we couldn’t be prouder of his most recent achievement: taking home the Irish Challenge trophy for 2022, and just one week after joining our team. We cannot wait to see what the future has in store for Todd in our performance collection.
RUGBY SEASON JUST KICKED OFF
News flash: we’ve extended our partnership with our home rugby team, Exeter Chiefs. Once again, we’ll be dressing both the men’s and women’s playing squad for match-day duties and formal events, as well as the club’s non-playing staff. Their expertly tailored uniform will, of course, be made up of some of our most iconic styles, including blazers, Oxford shirts and chinos. It goes without saying that they’ll be scoring all the style points, so we’ve got everything crossed for their best season yet.
