Keep reading for our ultimate rugby guide to the area.

Where to watch

Twickenham riverside

There are endless spots situated along the idyllic riverside in Twickenham. Take a stroll by the water and catch the game in one of the pubs and bars, before heading out for dinner in an eatery of choice. We love The White Swan, a 17th century pub perched right on the riverbank. Offering food and drink, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy a bite to eat whilst watching the world go by.

Cabbage patch

Known as the most famous rugby pub in the world, The Cabbage Patch is only a short walk to the Allianz Stadium and offers an electric atmosphere and is always packed with fellow rugby enthusiasts. Plus, the immersive surroundings are packed with rugby memorabilia, a perfect talking point whilst knocking back a pint of Guinness or two before the game. There’s even live music after matches, so head back and keep the celebrations going well on into the night.

Where to stay

Harbour Hotel Richmond

Located within the lovely area of Richmond Hill, the Harbour Hotel is a 18th century Georgian building that’s a perfect place to stay whilst in the area. With easy access into central London and also close to Twickenham, the hotel offers luxury rooms ensuring a relaxing retreat, plus the on-site spa and restaurant provide the best amenities to make your stay that extra bit special.

Alexander Pope Twickenham

A pub and hotel in one, the Alexander Pope is situated within a short walking distance of Twickenham and is set on the banks of the Thames. Stay in one of the 32 dog-friendly rooms and unwind after a busy day at the stadium, all boasting stylish décor and amenities.
