Alyssia Button Through Floral Jersey Dress in Bright Pink

I bought my first one in a TKMa last week in size 14 green and white pattern. I'm a size 14 and it's a perfect fit. Length is good, sort of mid calf as I'm 5'4" . I loved it so much I came home and ordered the blue on line and am very pleased. Am considering ordering a sleeveless version as well. They are well made and should last years. A timeless design.

I expected the fabric to be lightweight as it’s a summer dress so I was disappointed with the weight of the Ecovera. However it means it sits well on the shoulders without movement and drapes well too. It will be fine for our usual cooler summer when that happens, but until then I’m wearing an old cotton dress. I bought a belt as it needs pulling in a bit at the back.

I have a few similar dresses which are all great. I loved the colour. Unfortunately the length of this one wasn’t right. It is at least 20cm shorter than my previous dresses which wasn’t too bad but the bodice is also reduced in length. It rides up too as it’s so short. I wore it today and had to keep pulling the top section down. I’ll probably keep it as I like the colour but it will probably just be used for wearing at home. I hope this isn’t going to be the normal sizing now as it feels skimpy compared to dresses from a few years ago

The dress is made of a really beautifully soft and comfortable fabric and it looks great on - but the big flaw is that the buttons seem to be too small for the buttonholes and slip out constantly with very little movement, leaving the dress gaping open. It's an easy fix to sew the buttonholes a little smaller but still quite an annoying flaw in an otherwise perfect dress!

Love the colour of this dress and so comfortable to wear plus it does not need ironing!
