The Red Roses: A History-Making Team
2025: A Landmark Year
The Red Roses got off to a flying start in the 2025 Guinness Women’s Six Nations, securing their seventh consecutive title and fourth Grand Slam after a nail-biting victory over France (aka “Le Crunch”).
Then came the Rugby World Cup. Spanning five weeks and venues throughout the UK, the tournament captured the imagination of the nation. 81,885 fans packed into Allianz Stadium for the final, where England defeated Canada to become World Champions.
2025 was also the year we created our first bespoke suit for the Red Roses. At the heart of the design was a special detail: the blazer was lined with the names of every Red Rose, past and present. It was our way of honouring the women who had helped shape the team and continue to inspire the next generation.
2026: Another Grand Slam
Another year, another Guinness Women’s Six Nations. The stakes were high, and pregnancy, injury and retirement meant several familiar faces were unavailable. A new generation of Red Roses stepped onto the pitch, and without breaking stride, they secured a 33–12 victory over Ireland, an 84-7 win over Scotland and went on to defeat Wales 62–24.
The final challenge was France. In Bordeaux, the Red Roses treated us to another stellar performance, winning 43-28 to secure yet another Grand Slam.
Our personal highlight was helping the team prepare for their trip to Downing Street, where they celebrated becoming World Champions. We loved catching up with them about their personal journeys, and how proud their younger selves would be.
And they’re not done yet…
There’s no slowing down for the Red Roses. Up next is the 2026 WXV Series, with Captain Megan Jones leading the squad through three home fixtures in September, before the team head to North America for three away Tests in October against Canada (twice) and USA.
With another Grand Slam secured and a new generation stepping into the squad, 2026 is already another significant chapter in the Red Roses story. We couldn’t be prouder to be part of the journey, celebrating every win and every incredible woman behind them.
